Why would digestive enzymes help reflux and barrett's?
I was wanting to see if I could find out why digestive enzymes (lipase/amylase/etc) would help acid reflux disease to the point that your stomach inflammation clears up after 6 years of tests where it was always inflammed and barrett's esophagitis that I had back in February just up and went away. The only thing wrong was esophagitis (no barretts). Reflux medications did not help me. I have indigestion/belching and digest my food too fast most of the time but the enzymes help keep it under control. I have been taking them for a couple of months and am amazed at my test results. But I can't figure out what this could be indicating other than knowing I have digestive problems, but I don't know why.
