Upper back neuropathic pain w/ complications
Alright well I don't really know where to turn for this. This is a very difficult situation as I am afraid of visiting a doctor. It will seem strange but it is absolutely true.
All these symptoms have occurred after a head injury I sustained. Immediately after the incident the symptoms were much worse than they are currently, so I have seen a certain degree of recovery. My symptoms are varied and include upper back and neck pain, big toe numbness with a pressure feeling on that side of the foot leading up the leg into the calf (sounds exactly like L5-S1 radicular pain), gastrointestinal problems, and spastic tendencies.
This is where the situation goes strange, and why I am reluctant to see a doctor. The symptoms are currently mild all the time, but are predominant when I consume specific psychoactive drugs. For example, marijuana will increase the symptoms highly. Psychadelics like shrooms or LSD have caused extreme responses and have caused severe electric shocks down my spine. Unless it happens to you, it is very difficult to understand, but as doctors you should be familiar with what I am talking about. This has led me to avoid psychadelics completely because I fear it worsens the problem. I know all these symptoms are related because they all occurred after the same traumatic event. The problem is not severe, BUT I still have an unresolved issue, and I wonder what the capacity for recovery will be. The doctor says it could heal completely but he is unsure. I have not discussed any drug related issue with him, so he is not familiar with this peculiar twist. If anyone has any comments or suggestions, please help me.
