The JESUS Diet

Hi.

I'm a Senior in high school and am doing a culminating project.
With the interests in the field of medicine, my project consists of myself creating a documentary of a Diet which I have created the stipulations for.
My diet consists of myself eating only fish, bread, grape juice, and water for 46 days, alluding to Jesus's diet in the Bible, in hopes of losing around 10-15 lbs. I normally eat a very hefty, fatty meals and do not get much of a work out. My BMI index is 23.6 which is on the higher end of normal and my blood glucuse is 99mg/dL after pigging out. I wanted to ask a couple of questions.

Would it be safe for me to continue on this diet for 46 days provided that I am also taking a multivitamin and an extra vitamin C pill daily?

Would you guess that I can lose weight from this diet?

What are some variables that will be necessary to control this experiment?

Answers:

As long as you are getting enough calories and vitamins and mineral in your diet, it sounds like a very good way to lose weight. But I don't think this is something you could sustain long-term, or even much longer than 46 days.Do you have to wear sandals too - all year round? I bet that burns a few calories!Man does not live on bread alone, but Americans have become increasingly reliant on doughy carbohydrates in their diet. Now many in a rapidly expanding country are asking: "What Would Jesus Eat?"
That is the title of one of a growing number of Christian diet plans crowding the lifestyle shelves of mainstream bookshops. Other bestsellers include The Maker's Diet, The Hallelujah Diet and Body by God. For the persistently overweight, they hold the promise of spiritual and bodily redemption.
The selling strategies vary. Stephen Arterburn, the host of a Christian radio show and author of Lose it For Life, says: "If you want the world to notice Jesus, it helps to look and live like Jesus. We don't do this so we can look in the mirror and be more attractive. We do it so people can look at us and see Jesus."
