Sudden Aggressive Progression of Seizures
Dear Dr. Joshua,
I was diagnosed with epilepsy in the right temporal lobe in November of 2005. Until January of this year, it was very well controlled with 100mg of Lamictal once a day. But starting in the end of January, I started having increased Petit Mal seizures. I have had increased migraines and dizziness. My speech, vision, skin sensation, balance, coordination, writing, and ability to stay awake have been deteriorating. I have also had on incident of incontinence. Even though it happened at home, it was still very embarassing. The stuttering and stumbling have made me look like a drunk. I don't have insurance, so I am unable to receive the diagnostic tests and treatments I so desperately need. Several times, I have considered suicide. I am terribly frightened of the possibilities. I am getting married in less than two months, and I am afraid that I won't make it to walk down the aisle. Please help me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
