stomach
After my husband eats, his stomach becomes hard, extended and bloated. He does not over eat and is not overweight except in the stomach area. He has recently shown signs of reflux when he lays down. Could he possibly not have enough bacteria in his stomach to help with digestion? He is very uncomfortable with this fullness feeling.

Hello judih,
Welcome aboard. I'm sure this is very uncomfortable for your husband. I was wondering if he changed his diet and if his bowel habits have changed also. I know that as we try to diagnose ourselves, change our diets more whole grains etc., we sometimes over do it. I know from experience on the whole grains. Not sure about the healthy bacteria amount, but yogurt is good for this. Maybe your husband should be seen to determine this and also have the reflux helped. Best wishes and let us know. Purple98Lady :)In addition to what PurpleLady said above, I recommend that your husband make an appointment with his primary care physician - symptoms like these need to be evaluated by a physician
