Standing Stomach Pain
I’m 17 years of age, and I'm very physically active. I have exceedingly painful and debilitating menstrual periods that often prevent me from doing activities of daily living, that make me sick to my stomach, give and hot flashes/cold flashes, and on several occasions have landed me in the emergency. When I am not on my period I have a constant (period-like) pain in my right lower abdomen. The pain is always in the same spot and the pain get worse when I am standing for long periods of time or moving. This pain can sometimes cause me to loose my appetite or give me back pain. Sitting down/curling up into a ball or using a hot pack can temporarily relieve this pain. This pain has been relatively persistent for 6 months and is getting worse. What could be causing this pain?
Answers:
When was the last time you were examined by your ob/gyn. Certainly warrants one with your symptoms. Could be cysts, adhesions or even other things. Please be seen to be fully examined. What is your diet like? I know you are physically active, but this sounds like it could be a lack of certain vitamins or another nutritional deficiency.
