Sphincter of Oddi Dysfuntion
I was wandering if there were any types of medications out there for treatment of sphincter of oddi dysfuntion. I'm kind of hesitant of get the ercp done b/c of the risk of pancreatitis. I don't know much about this but would like to recieve as much info as possible. I have severe ruq pain with elevated liver enzymes. GB was removed 6 years ago. Only thing that helps during an attack is vicodin. Is there anything else that I can take to prevent an attack? What causes one? Thanks!

Stumbled upon a l ot of discussion about this today! Sadly I wish I saw this earlier so I could get you the link(s).... From what I read and remember surgery is the thing needed... Don thold me to this but they said something about anatacids etc.. Do you take these?
