slight tremors (?) in my face and chest
Hi,
I'm a 44-and-counting-year-old woman with the following medical/physical problems (the medications I'm on for each are in parentheses):
-type II diabetes (Metformin -- just went from 500mg twice/day to 1000mg twice/day)
-peripheral neuropathy (Neurontin -- 1200 mg twice/day)
-obesity (bed rest -- just kidding)
-high cholesterol (on a break from Zocor right now)
-possibly metabolic syndrome (yet to be officially diagnosed; have appointment with a cardiologist)
-depression
(See a theme?)
For the past three months, I've experienced chronic "tremors" in my face and my chest. They're imperceptible to everyone else, including my primary care physician. And, thanks to the HMO I'm part of, I can't get an appointment with a neurologist for several weeks. I'm going nuts. Thank goodness for Ambien, otherwise I'd never fall asleep.
I know I need to exercise, eat right, etc., and just lost three pounds this week due to a nasty case of bronchitis. Can anyone out there tell me what's happening and if the "tremors" (for want of an educated definition) are from my peripheral neuropathy? Also, what, if anything, can be done about them?
Thanks.
Linda G.

:)Hi Linda G
Welcome to the forum and for your post. What got my attention to your post was the peripheral neurophathy. May I suggest on Dr. Joshua's main page using the google search for really helpful information on causes and treatments. I have problems with nerves and numbness and I have had tremors in my thigh. These nerves can give you many sensations. I'm sure you will also get a helpful post from the Dr. too.
Well we all know what we should do as far as eating and exercise, just wish it wasn't to darn hard. lol
Good Luck on getting your appt. with the neurologist and please keep us posted.
Sincerely,
Purple98Lady
