Serious language deficencies...azlhemiers?!?!?

Okay, I realize you don't reply to many of these, but I am very scared and I need some advice. I am a 21, almost 22 yr old, male caucasian and as far as I know, I don't have any family history of alzhemiers. I have also always been extremely intelligent both in life and school with no language problems, even being able to do public debate well. However, recently I have been having serious neurological problems when it comes to language. Now this has been going on for 8 months or more now, a time where I will try to speech compltely coherent to others, but I forget words that I know I know in the middle of speech, causing me to speech jiberish sentences and to stumble/struggle through normal interaction. I also have times where I cannot remember the name of a actor/friend/person, and have an awful time trying to recall their name, even though I see their face in my head. When I am speaking, I also have issues with mistaking one word for another unusually often (many times each day) while I speak and its so frustrating and embarrasing. For example, today I said the word, "water pile" instead of "water puddle. This problem is beginning to be a detrimnet to my life more and more as months have gone on, which is especially difficult because I go to a top university...but I am graduating in May. I am fearful of the possible progression of these problems, and I was wonderig-hoping that there is an explanation for these serious language problems, neurologically, that isn't alzhemiers. Thank you, and PLEASE respond to me if you can...I'm pretty scared.

Too bad no one has answered yet! Hope someone does soon -- but in the meantime, I am sure you have not been eating right. I am not one of those "natural healthfood crackpots", just listen to me: You are MISSING some important vitamins and/or amino acids, or you have some enzyme deficiency. Get to a doctor and have him run a whole bunch of tests on you. If you can't or don't want to, for some reason, then at least do this: Go to your local grocery store and buy a few 12-packs of ENSURE. (No, it's NOT an "old people's drink", even though they do use it sometimes in nursing homes for those elders who have no appetites). 3 cans is a whole day's supply of everything, but I would suggest you drink 2 cans a day, plus eat whatever you've been eating. Then in a couple of weeks (sooner, I bet), you will notice a BIG change, both in memory and in energy. I drink this for a few days before exams, and I notice a huge difference. One caution: don't buy the "extra protein" one, because if you use it for too long, it puts too great a strain on your body. Just buy the regular kind, and notice it's in quite a few flavours. Some are yucky, so stick to chocolate. First can might taste a bit weird, but the taste grows on you. Good luck! Let us know how you do!
