Please Help!
Hello, my name is Michelle. I am desperately seeking answers. I am taking Phlebotomy. This past Tuesday, 5 days ago. I was in class. A classmate drew my blood, when she did it sent a pain down my arm and a shook in my hand. My teacher said she hit a nerve to not worry about it that it'd be okay.
Now, I have pain throughout my arm. when I stretch my arm out I have tingling in my ring finger and my pinky finger.
I went to the dr. and they gave me a steroid shot. I do not feel any different. That was 3 days ago.
My concern is whether it is ever going to be better again. Will this heal? I have read so many incidents on the internet of people who this has happened to and they never got better or they had to undergo surgery. I also read that this rarely happens. I am sorry to bother you but it is troubling me. Does it cause more damage by using my arm?
Please please give me any answers you can.
Thank you,
Michelle

It may just get better but being seen by your Dr would be the best. He will know. Good Luck.
