Paralyzed For A Few Minutes While Sleeping (CRPS/RSD)
Hello, I am 42, male, and have had RSD type 2 for 13 years.
Okay, here goes, as anyone with RSD, their loved ones, and doctors who treat RSD knows, sleeping is everything but routine for those with RSD. I am no exception. Sometimes, I go days without sleeping for more than 10 minutes at-a-time. Other times, I sleep all day and night.
About 4 months ago, I started waking up not being able to move anything but my eyes opening. It always last around 3 minutes, and every time it has happened, I'm either lying on my side or stomach, but not fully on my stomach. (Kind of halfway on my left or right side). It happens about once a week/10 days, and I just cannot move.
We don't have a new bed or any dietary changes. My medicines have been regular (The ones I've taken for years) until the last day of January 2008 when I found out my doctor is retiring. Becuase of his retiring, I've cut back on my medications to help make them last longer while trying to find a doctor. But the paralyzed thing started back in November of last year. I forgot to mention this to my doctor, so I'm looking here for an idea or advice.
