orthostatic hypotension and violent shaking
I'm a 22 year old male, I'm 5'10" and 160 lbs and several times a week I'll get orthostatic hypotension after standing. I've had this problem for almost as long as I can remember but it was always believed to be related to growing. I haven't grown any in height or weight for four to five years now and yet I still have the head rushes. Around the age of 15 the head rushes started to become more intense and often resulted in me collapsing to the ground because my legs went limp. The other addition that came with these more intense head rushes was a somewhat short lived severe pressure headache. This collapsing tendency and the pressure headaches are still present. What is more concerning to me is that at the end of my last growth period, when I was around 17, something strange started to happen once I collapsed. Unlike in the past where I would just lay there till my vision returned, I now learned that I was having bouts of violent shaking. I was only slightly aware of these for a while because while I felt some movement it didn't seem to be a lot to me. But when I had the first bad head rush in front of someone they sort of freaked out and told me later that they thought I was having a seizure because I was shaking so violently. It seems like only one out of every four to six head rushes is bad enough to cause me to shake. About a week ago one of my roommates saw me having one of these head rushes and was asking me if I was all right. I sort of remember hearing him but I’m not sure, it seems I never can really remember what happens during the head rushes. He was concerned because as he put it, “I was completely unresponsive.” I've done a lot of internet research on orthostatic hypotension and I can't seem to find anything about shaking during episodes or pressure headaches. I just want to know if this seems like something terribly serious.
