Numbness In Foot?

Hello, I am a 40 yr old male who 10 months ago due to a lifting incident suffered bulging discs at L3 / L4 / L5. On the MRI L3 was a mild right bulging disc. L4 a minor insignificant bulge and L5 the worst protrusion to the left mild to moderate but as told by my chiro and ortho a moderate bulge. I went about 3 weeks before first seeing anybody because I did not know at the time what had happened, then was recomended to a chiro. After my first visit and adjustment the very next day I began experiencing tingling in my left foot. Since then I have had various sensations in my foot but as now have primarily a mild numbness and ocassional tingling in the toes. MY QUESTION: Is there still any chance of my disc to retract and the nerves to heal to where this numbness can go away? I wish I could go back and not have lifted that damn sheetrock. This is the worst physical setback I have as yet had to deal with. I have learned an awful lot about the human spine the hard way.

Thanks Doc
