NOW what's wrong??
Hi,
I'm soon to be 46 (female). 5'2", 96 lbs.(I've lost 12 lbs. in the last year w/o dieting.)I am a bit stressed though, so that probably explains that. Currently being treated for Fibromyalgia and chronic myofascial pain. I get trigger point injections which help most of the time, but the last time - 4 weeks ago, didn't help at all. I use duragesic patch every 72 hours and lortab as needed for pain.
I've had two separate cervical fusions, C5-6 in 94 and C6-7 in 2002.
Total Hyst. in 2003. Carpal tunnel release 3x on right hand, 1x on left, trigger thumb surgery on right, and trigger finger surgery on left. Carpal tunnel is back in both hands, but I don't want another surgery!
Pain doc wants me to get Cervical MRI because I haven't had one since last neck surgery. He mentioned arthritis below the fusions. I have constant muscle pain/spasms in my traps. Mostly on right side, but now sometimes on left as well. Now I'm getting pain in chest occasionally, in upper/center/just left of sternum and upper far left just below collar bone (thought it was just gas when it first started a month or so ago...but it just keeps coming to the same places). Armpits ache, in shoulders, both arms down to elbows, and sometimes JUST the elbows ache, It's that deep sort of "bone ache". Numbness and tingling in pinkies and ring fingers of both hands. Left triceps twitching (just drives me nuts).
I tend to blame everything on the Fibro, because I know that it can cause such a wide range of symptoms. But these new things kind of have me concerned. For the last three years, the fibro has been decently managed. I have days when I feel ok and days when I just feel awful. But these new feelings/pains are just that...new. So I have to wonder what's causing them.
Any thoughts/advice will be appreciated.
