neuro or something else?
my problems started back in October. my symptoms keep changing and they are getting worse faster. i felt fine until one day 4 months ago i started feeling like i had a lump in my throat and chest tightness that made it hard to breath. my doctor keep saying it was asthma. ive tried a bunch of different inhalers, none help. i go to an allergist and he has performed pulmonary function testing, which came back normal. my doctor then thought maybe i had gerd that was causing asthma-like symptoms. i took prevacid, than nexium when i had no change. after 3 weeks on nexium with no improvement, she sent me to a GI specialist who did an endoscopy. He did 2 biopsies and checked my vocal cords. everything came back normal. my symptoms began getting worse. i started getting episodes where I'd get shaky and nauseaus. it would almost feel like an adrenaline rush...at one point i went to the ER and they said it was asthma, even though my lungs were clear, i had no improvement with inhalers, and my personal peak flow measures are all normal. i was supposed to followup with my regular doctor, but she had just gone on maternity leave. about 3 weeks ago, i started becoming dizzy and lightheaded on a regular basis. i woke up one night with chest pains. i went to the ER again and they did an EKG and an echo. both those came back normal along with the enzymes. so, i know its not cardiac. i was told that i had a small gallstone from an abdominal ultrasound and had a HIDA scan. i don't know what the results were but i was told that it was abnormal and i'm meeting with a surgeon next week to discuss surgery. i'm not sure it is my gallbladder though. i dont have abdominal pain. the only gallbladder symptoms i have are vomiting and nausea, and i get it regardless of what i eat. now, ive been getting real bad muscle contractions all over. my chest, midsection, back, neck, arms. its not painful, exactly, just really uncomfortable, so tense i feel like i'm going to pass out. its really hard to relax them voluntarily. i think all the previous chest symptoms ive had were muscle spasms. i get some tingling in my head, sometimes i feel a lot of pressure on the sides of my head, and i have a lot of trouble sleeping. everytime i start to fall asleep, i wake up with a jolt/start. OTC sleep aids dont help. in the last couple days, i get weird sensations- cold, tingling, free-fall feelings in my head and sometimes have trouble focusing my eyes. should i be requesting an appointment with a neurologist? could this all be related to my gallbladder? is it all in my head and i should see a psychiatrist? please offer some insights, i'm too young to feel this sick and tired all the time (i'm 28, female).
