Muscle spasm versus aneurysm versus ?
Hi,
I was driving a few days ago when all of the sudden my head started to feel wierd. The sensation was that of a warm fluid running through an artery or vein or something on the left side of my head. I had a friend next to me and told her I felt kind of strange and that something was wrong. She instructed me to pull over and park. Thank God she was there because I really do not know what I would have done. Anyway, as I pulled over, the sensation ran through my head and down into my body to the tips of my fingers and toes. I was able to talk and told her to call 911. I felt as though this was it. I was a gonner. I had no pain whatsover but felt as if a blood vessel or artery had ruptured and blood was running throughout my body. I asked her again to call 911 and then again. After about 45 seconds from the onset, the sensation ended. I was left feeling shaky and of course scared. I called a doctor who said that this was very common and said I had had a muscle spasm. I have never in my life heard of a muscle spasm with these symptoms. I have sinus disease and was pushing a little on the right side of my face before any of this started, but not very hard. Anyway, I think I would be a little more reassured with a second opinion. I would hate for this to ever happen again. Thanks.
