Lamictal
I had a whopper of a status (6+ hrs) & a wk after I left the hospital all the drugs kicked in. (I was on 120mg pheno, 500 mg lamictal, 300 dilantin & 2000 keppra.) @ that time I was 97lbs, so that pheno was a trip.
The dilantin was lowered to 200, so the lamictal went to 600. Epi. said to get off the pheno & added 1000 to Keppra.
Before the status I was on 400mg lamictal. It took a few days to get the eyes back to normal. It has been 7 months now & the doubled vision I get in the A.M., is only after taking the lamictal, but has not yet stopped. The pheno is down to 45 P.M. & Keppra & dilantin are as they were before the status.
Saw the neuro last week & he saw what I have been saying about the lamictal. Huge nystagmus.
Should he have lowered the lamictal or the pheno??
