Im so upset, please interpret this for me
TECHINIQUE: Sagittal and axial FLAIR, axial T2 GraSE, axial diffusion weighted, postcontrast T1-weighted sagittal, axial and coronal images of the brain, pre and post gadolinium-enhanced axial and coronal T1-weighted and T2 weighted images of the IAC's performed on a 3 Tesia MR unit.
HISTORY: Report submitted brain MR - Hearing Loss.
FINDINGS: There are few punctate foci of T2 signal within the supratentiorial white matter, and also 2 foci within the body of the corpus callosum. No MR evidence of hemorrhage or ischemia. No evidence of an enhancing parenchymal or extra-axial mass. Incidental right frontal developmental venous anomaly.
Bilaterally cranial nerves VII and VIII are normal appearance, without abnormal signal, or enhancement of focal mass. Membranous labyrinths are unremarkable. No evidence of signal abnormality within the parenchyma of the acoustic pathways. No evidence of the CP angle or craniocervical junction mass. No MR evidence of mastoid opacification.
Pituitary gland is normal size. No significant sinus opacification.
IMPRESSION:
1. Few punctate foci of T2 signal supratentorial white matter and also within the body of the corpus callosum, nonspecific a broad differential as previously discussed. Corpus callosum involvement does suggest demyelination, although the other foci are not specific for this.
2. No evidence of a vestibular schwannoma or abnormal signal within the parenchyma of the acoustic pathways.
The part that scares me is the "demyelination" . I have been given a BSER and another test to check my nerves to see how well my nerves travel to my brain and they are all NORMAL. I was having some weird numbness surrounding my ears but my ENT said that it could be from a blocked eustation tube. I dont have pain, and I dont have difficulty with walking or balance. Please shed some kind of light on this. With my previous MRI report that I posted up, do you think that there is a BIG change? Is there a chance that I could still have MS even though my other test results come back normal????
Answers:
Dr. Joshua, I beg you to please interpret this report, Im so frightened over this and my neurologist says for me Not to worry. Why the demyelination? Please help!!
