About 3 hours ago, I started having a splitting headache at the crown of my head and throbbing on the right sideabove and behind my ear. My arms and legs are numb and tingly. I feel dizzy and faint and actually fainted a little while ago. I feel sick to my stomach and am seeing double and a half. I'm very, very cold despite the fact that everyone here says it is so hot they are sweating. This isn't a migraine. I get those regularly and it isn't that, or I'd take my Imitrex shot. Should I wait and see if I can get in to the doctor tomorrow or should I make a trip to the ER? I'm freaking out because I fainted, so I want someone to be honest as to what they would do. Thank you.

hippieluv2001,

If you are having such symptoms and you fainted, I would go to the emergency room. They can examine you first hand. I would be seen pronto.

Let us know,

Purple98LadyDear members, please do not post questions about whether to go to the ER or not. If you have such a question in your mind, the answer is always: go to the emergency room.

If you have sudden onset headache, not to mention neurological symptoms such as double vision, not only should you go to the ER, but your should call an ambulance immediately.
