Heart pounding
I wake up with my heart pounding and have to go have a bm. These episodes started in my 30's but infrequently. I am 54 and on hrt. Sometimes I feel like I'm going to pass out. These episodes are very scary. I have a bm, take some Mylanta, and wait for my heart to return to normal. This only happens at night. What do you think about this? Thanks much.

Hi and welcome,
I couldn't understand one part of your post (I am 54 and on hrt.)????
Any palpitations or awareness of your hearts beating this often should be investigated. If you have been seen you really should discuss this with your Dr. Good Luck,
