Good old status-neuropace?

In April I had a seizure that nailed me pretty good for 3 hrs before being hauled to hospital. I was "pretty much" with it during those 3 hours. I knew it was tossing me around, but @ least I was awake part of the time. Had a VEEG that showed what I had been screaming about for weeks. Always need to have proof. I had another minor one until Sept. Started as always & that was it. I knew it was time to pack a bag & I wasn't referring to a hospital bag. :o)
Apparently the truck arrived to haul me to the hospital. Drugged me up, stopped the seizure until they got me in the truck. It kicked in good again & no one could stop it until almost 4 hrs later when my neuro arrived, added enough more pheno to put me in a coma just so they could get a CT scan done. It came back as always. Was on a ventilator for 4 days. I don't remember any of it.
Was sent back to the surgeon to try to get an MRI (I knew I couldn't, but he never trusts me) so after seeing what is not on my skull via records it was said no more. Fine w/ me. Changed the drugs & suggested either a VNS or neuropace.
I pretty much know about the VNS. Like anything, may be good or bad.
I've read alot about the neuropace, but my concern is since it is just a trial how often do you have to go to the neuro to "check" it out? I know it's for guine pigs, but I hate demands.

Thanks!
