Exposure to unidentified gas
Hello. Last July I was exposed to an unidentified gas from a major chemical explosion where I work. A chemical mixture of sodium chlorite and polyaluminum chloride created the gas which I was exposed to. Both chemicals are used in the water treatment industry. I was taken to the emergency room for observation. An x-ray was performed by the doctor which showed nothing, and I was later released without receiving any medical treatment. Since the explosion, I have had terrible headaches, panic attacks, anxiety, depression, and a fear of returning to work. I am posting here to get your opinions on what I should do at this point in time. I rarely experienced headaches before the accident, if I did it was related to stress. It seems everyday now I have at least one bad headache and if anything can be done to help me, I would certainly do everything I could to make it happen. I have done a lot of research on my own to try and find some information regarding the neurological effects of the chemicals I was exposed to with no success, it seems there have been few, if any studies in this regard.
