Experiencing what could be MS
I am a 49 year old hispanic male healthy and have been working out faithfully for over 20 years. I began experiencing a pain in my right lower buttock that felt like a pinched nerve and I felt was affecting my ability to walk normal. I was treated by a chiropractor and then referred to another specialist for Sciatica and received an epideral. That did not change anything. I have trouble walking normal and trip because I cannot pick up my feet right for the walking motion and have stumbled alot. I look as though I am unbalanced or even drunk. I was then referred to an neurologist who is treating me with nerve medicine I have had two MRIs with and without contrast, electrical shock test and a second opinion and they both say my MRIs show no lestions or tumors and they are 80 percent sure it is not MS. I just had a spinal tap to rule it out completely and awaiting the results. My walking is not getting better, my legs continue to feel heavy and I have difficulty walking. Stretching the buttock area feels good but doesn't last I still feel as though I have a pinched nerve. In the past month I have been experiencing like an electrical shock or sense in different parts of the body. What could all this be if not MS?????????

I would tend to go with the neurologist. Nerves take a longgggggg time to heal . Make sure your doing all he prescribes physical therapy etc. Talk with him and keep in contact and discuss how long he feels it will take for you to see some improvement. If he feels with testing etc, its not ms I would believe him and the spinal tap will help to clear this up. Good LuckI hope Dr. Joshua reads my thread and responds with his adivice!!!!!!!
