embarrassed with my figure

Hi, i currently weigh 85kg, but am kinda embarrassed about going out to places such as the beach or pool. i am 17 & 1/2 years of age, play soccer as a sport, & am in my last year of school. but what i really would like to know is if there is a specific diet of what kind of foods i should be eating to lose weight, like day by day typed, not necessarily fast, but effectively, i know that it is also just as important to eat well as to do regular exercise, so what is my best option?

Hi Dear!

First of all, you should not be embarrassed with your figure. Some people have talent of gaing weight and some people do not. I am the one who do not gain even a pound with all eating . But anyways, in your case, I think if you really want to be serious about losing weight, you should see a dietitian that she can give you a list of diet. They will be a great help if and only if you follow what they tell you.

Please note that I am not a health profession, I am an ultrasound students. So, this forum is only for sharing different experiences, unless Dr. Jousha answer himself.

Good LuckLosing weight is never easy. Your young and changing your eating and exercise habits now can benefit you throughout the rest of your life. Before you do a so called diet be seen by your dr for any health conditions etc. The dietician is a good idea providing you tell them any medical issues you may have beforehand. Sometimes low calorie restriction and more exercise can just be the answer. And its never fun Heres a link from the archives of Dr. Joshua regarding:

Dr. John Stott "The Double Authorship of the Holy Scripture" and "Basic Principles of Biblical Interpretation"Yeah I agree losing weight was never easy but at your stage, your still young to get along with diets maybe try to enjoy it a little bit, :D

But here I give you some tips for a healthy eating diet:

- Don’t wait for diabetes to start looking for hidden sugars—Canned fruits in syrups, most cakes and cookies, even many containers of yogurt, can compromise your sugar levels.

- Don’t splurge on fat—Do NOT bulk up on high-fat foods like bacon, butter, and hamburger, just because they are low carb. Two major studies have concluded that while highfat diets might help people lose weight faster, the weight loss isn’t maintained better than other diets. Besides, fat delivers about twice as many calories for the same number of grams as carbohydrates or proteins do—and study after study shows the disastrous impact of fat on health.

- Balance "good" foods—There are "good" fats, like those found in salmon. Vegetable proteins, like tofu and beans, can be consumed healthfully in greater bulk than animal proteins, like steak. Look for "healthy" carbs in foods rich in whole grains, like oatmeal and whole-wheat pastas.
