Embarassing question

I had a surgery many years ago and the nurse gave me enimas. During one she accidently stabbed the tip of the bottle into me and caused severe bleeding. It's been about 10 years and I still have a small hole in my rectum. I bleed every time I go #2. Bad enough to where it looks like I'm having my period. I don't think it will heal on it's own cause it's gone on for so long now. I've never told any Doctors cause it's too embarassing. Should I be worried about this?

You should tell your doctor! Don't be embarrassed - this is routine stuff for doctors. Your doctor will need to take a look and determine the cause, and most likely you can get rid of this problem with proper treatment.Ok, cause I have an appointment this week for something else. I don't know how to bring it up. Could you tell me what might happen if I continue to avoid having anything done? Could I get an infection?
