Double vision, upward gaze, 1.5cm Pineal cyst
I am 35yr old male with double vision in upward gaze. If I read text at arms length, my vision doubles when relaxing my gaze. This symptom really presents itself when I am very tired. The right eye turns in quite far and my vision doubles. I have to concentrate to focus.
MRI findings in 2000 showed a 10mm round pineal cyst. This last MRI in late 06 shows a pineal cyst 11mm x 16mm x 11mm and mild splaying of the superior collicquli. I have been told that they would not remove / drain the cyst because the surgery is too risky. I am now in a wait-and-see mode. IF my vision goes double in my normal gaze, they would do surgery.
I have severe left eye pain, in which I believe my left eye has a cramp, from doing more of the work. Check out my MRI image. let me know if I should get a second opinion from another neurosurgeon. thank you.

Your eye problems sound similar to mine. I have alternating exotropia.
It sounds like you have intermittent esotropia.
Here's how mine is: If I relax my eyes, one floats outward (extropia...esotropia is when it floats in) I see double, or more precisely, two separate images. If I look up, one floats out. My eyes sometimes hurt alot because of it.
