Doctor left practice. How to followup?

Writing this on behalf of my daughter who is out of
town on a work internship.

My daughter's psychiatrist is no longer with the clinic
and the clinic refuses to release the psychiatrist's current
whereabouts. My daughter would like to contact this
psychiatrist in order to continue treatment and more importantly,
to renew her prescribed medication.

Is the clinic acting ethically? Seems to me they are not.
Any advice how to proceed? Do we have a recourse or
must she start all over with a new psychiatrist?

Did a quick google search for the state medical board and
decided I would try this forum as well.

I would attempt to see who is taking this Dr.'s patients, explain your need for renewal of prescriptions. Maybe see another Dr. within this group. Explain your situation to them and ask for their input. But they are under no obligation to let you know of this physicians whereabouts. Good Luck.
