Carotid Kink as cause of headache

In late Aug. 2007 I developed (while suffering from an extended respiratory infection and on antibiotics) high blood pressure, severe unrelenting headache on the right side, carotid bruit, and objective pulsatile tinnitus. The blood pressure was easily controlled with ExForge, but the headache and pulsatile tinnitus contine 3 months later. Many tests, including carotid sonogram, MRI, MRA, CT scan, and cerebral arteriogram. Carotid kink detected in my neck on the right side. Neurologist and interventional radiologist say no need for further tests and no need for corrective surgery; told me the kink wouldn't cause high blood pressure or headache, and pulsatile tinnitus is not a concern. Aren't they all related, and isn't there a way to determine if there is an occlusion? I'm worried about stroke.
I am not overweight, exercise 5 times/week, abstain from salt, consume minimal alcohol, never smoke, and have normal cholesterol levels. Have never been sick until now.

I would get another opinion to be sure about the corrective surgery. I found this link interesting:
