Can pain induce sizeure?

I somehow recently injured my right knee, and had to go to the doctor today. He injected the knee with a cortisone shot. It was probably the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life.

After the shot was over and he had left the room, I fainted. That was only the 2nd time I had ever fainted that I know of, and I'm almost 30 now.

I know that pain can cause fainting, but what concerns me is that my mother, who had driven me there said that while I was passed out, I was arching, flailing, twitching... and of all things snoring. I even bit the inside of my lip while I was out. She said the seizure like symptoms probably only lasted 45 seconds or so. I was out for about 3 minutes the first time, and then passed out again a few minutes later for another minute or two.

As I was coming to, I was disoriented. Thoughts were incomplete jumbles. Sounds were a mess too. It took a moment to realize where I was.
So I'm wondering if what I experienced was a simple faint, or a seizure? If it was a seizure, can it be caused by pain, or should I be concerned about other possible neurological causes?

That was definitely a seizure. I'm not a doctor, (yet, I want to be) but I do have temporal lobe epilepsy. I'm not quite sure if pain can induce seizures. I know that panic can (at least it does in my case). In any case, you should definitely be evaluated by a neurologist or your family physician. It's quite scary to go through a seizure. I know how you feel. I hope you get this figured out soon!
