Breathed in sodium hypochlorite and now multiple symptoms
Last Saturday morning I had the brilliant idea of cleaning my dirty garage floor using some of the pool cleaner stuff you can buy at the pool store or at home depot. I wet the garage floor with a hose and then spread the powder all around and used a scrub brush thingy to work it in and clean the floor.
Well, it didn't take too long for the fumes to be pretty overwhelming and I started to feel nacious (sp?). I had the garage doors up but I guess it wasn't providing enough fresh air. I stepped outside and within a minute or two felt better...enough to go back in anyway and finish what I started. Again I flet awful after just a minute or two in there. Of course it never dawned on me that I could be doing any permanent damage to myself by breathing that crap in. Anyway - I probably spent about 20-30 minutes breathing that stuff in before I rinsed out the garage with the hose.
Immediately my respitory system felt a bit sensitive but that went away in a day or so.
The real problem is that I've had a dull headache ever since then starting at the base of my skull, all around the back of my head. I feel a lot of pressure in my ears and I'm not dizzy, but something is a bit off in my head. Yesterday I started feeling a tingly sensation down my right arm and into my fingers.
I saw a family Doctor on Monday but he said "there's nothing I can do for that". He gave me some pills for the headache (which don't help) and that was it.
What do I do? I'm terribly worried. Do I go to the ER? I'm never ill and I'm freaked about the idea that my stupid mistake may have cost me my good health forever.
PLEASE HELP!

Sorry for your symptoms. Your really lucky it wasnt much worse. I don't know about the headache unless the gas takes time to exit. Did your Dr. do a complete examination, are you breathing ok or having any other symptoms. I think I would get another opinion even is this means a trip to the er.
