Black spot in vision/eye pressure

I am a 31 y/o F in good health. (except for asthma that is under control and possibly edenomyosis) Within the last 6 months I've developed a stationary black spot in my right eye about the size of a pencil eraser. It comes and goes at will sometimes lasting up to a minute before it fades and sometimes as often as 3-4 times a day. At first it REALLY freaked me out so I went to an opthamologit right away. He found nothing wrong with my eyes except for some irritation due to allergies and suggested that it may be migraines w/o the pain. He advised me to see a neurologist if it persisted. Well, it has and just today when I ate something very spicy it actually brought it on and at thr same time I felt pressure in both eyes. I currently do not have any health insurance otherwise I would have pursued this by now. I have found nothing anywhere else linking spicy foods to eye symptoms other than when it actually TOUCHES the eyes. Any suggestions?
THANK YOU!

Could it be a migraine without the headache like your opthamologist suggested? Migraines can be triggered by certain foods that an individual eats.

good luck!It could be migraine aura without the migraine, but your eye doctor is right you should definitely go to a neurologist as soon as you can. Foods can cause migraines ( it could be food you are allergic to or have developed a recent allergy too). My advice go to a neurologist as soon as you can. Good luck.
