Basal ganglia
My 28 year old friend thought she had an ear infection that would not go away. She had a CT scan and was told she had decreased density of the left basal ganglia. What does this mean? I know that both Parkinson's and Huntington's Chorea are associated with basal ganglia involvement, but she has no presenting motor issues at this time. She does have a history of depression/anxiety and is kind of OCDish. Thanks
