My father is 67 and a diabetic within the last 6 months he is being very negative, angery and yelling at my mom a lot for no reasons. He is very forgetful as well.
Should he go see a Doctor for this?

Yes, he should see a doctor. There are many possible causes for this, one of which is indeed Alzheimer's disease, but also other possibilities, such as vascular dementia, and many others, including brain tumor, electrolyte disturbances, and so on. Most of these diseases are treatable and with proper treatment, improvement is likely. The most important thing at this point is to find the cause of these symptoms.Hi.
This sounds so very familiar. My Mom is just 57. In the last year family, friends, and her co-worker's started noticing cognitive deficiencies with her. I especially noticed repetive speech, ( she would tell me something like a story someone told her, or an event in her life that happened that week would proceed to repeat it to me over and over as many as three-5 times in the same week.)
She also would experience name confusion, often calling me by her younger sister's name, first and only time I brought it to her attention, she flipped out and all but chewed my head off saying I was trying to prove her crazy.
Co- worker's started calling my Dad letting him know she was arriving for work earlier and earlier than usual, and she was making mistakes on her time card.
Last month diagnosis was finalized with a neurosurgeon in our area. She has early- onset AD and is at about grade 2-3 of 8.
Please get your Dad checked if some of this sounds simular. Also feel free to keep in touch if you need someone to share with.
