Ache in biceps for weeks-unsure why.

I have had an ache in both arms, in the bicep area below the shoulder(ball) for several weeks. I do not actively work out, only 36 years old and have not lifted or strained my muscles for this to happen. I cant sleep on my sides anymore and it is very bothersome. Sometimes rubbing them will ease the pain but not get rid of the ache. I am in good shape, not overweight and have not had many medical issues. I have heard that this could be a nerve issue. Thanks for any help.

I need to add that I am a 36 year old female with no prior medical problems. Only had 1 back injury when I was 16 years old and have had several backaches but nothing too extreme. Most problems are in my hips. Medication- none except for Naproxin for this situation which is doing nothing for the pain. Read somewhere that it could be nerve entrapment as it is affecting both arms in the same spot. Just need to know if I should go get an MRI or CT scan or go to Neurologist, et... Thank you!
