Abdominal pain - Help!

I am a 45-year-old female who has had abdominal pain for nearly eight weeks. The pain seemed more central in the beginning but is now on both sides of the abdomen, worse on the right. It is between my belly button and my right hip bone, tender to palpation and worse with movement, although not the severe pain that appendicitis would be. It is about a 4 on a scale of 1-10. I am still going about all my usual activities during the day despite the pain. The pain is not noticeable when resting in bed. The left side is tender also in the belly button area. I have had severe constipation as well since August, although this is now somewhat improved with diet changes. I have been to urgent care twice, and they blew it off as "IBS", and my primary simply recommended gynecology evaluation, which was completely negative, as was a pelvic ultrasound. My primary has refused to make a GI referral as he interestingly does not think it is GI-related. A radiology technician friend of mine said that I "should have been taken to a CAT scanner a long time ago" with this. To date, I have had no imaging studies ordered. Liver/pancreas panels were negative. The pain is not extremely severe but I've put up with it for a while and am worried. Any ideas of what this is?

Abdominal pain can be one of the symptoms associated with transient disorders or serious disease. Making a definitive diagnosis of the cause of abdominal pain can be difficult, because many diseases can result in this symptom. Abdominal pain is a common problem. Most frequently the cause is benign and/or self-limited, but more serious causes may require urgent intervention.
